Novice Scrimmage
This event is intended for new debaters in the novice division. Those attending will observe an exhibition round between varsity teams, attend workshops from experienced coaches, and compete in practice rounds against fellow novice competitors.
October Competition (Host Site #1)
This is the first regular-season competition and the first opportunity for competitors at all levels to debate.
Open to all Novice (grades 9 and 10) and Varsity (grades 11 and 12) debaters.
Breakfast will be provided, lunch tickets for pizza and drinks will be sold at the door.
Judges should bring laptops, phones, and chargers for the day.
Debaters should bring notebooks/notepads and phones/chargers (for timing only).

CDA State Finals
State Finals qualifiers earn their way by earning either a speaker trophy, team trophy, or going 4-0 in two separate competitions. Finalists will be confirmed in the week following the March competition.

Judges should be experienced, having judged at least two CDA competitions.
