The full invitation for this event can be viewed here. This event is intended for new debaters in the novice division. Those attending will observe an exhibition round between varsity teams, attend workshops from experienced coaches, and compete in practice rounds against fellow novice competitors.
Here is a tentative schedule of events:
8:15–9:00 AM: Arrival and check-in
9:00–10:15 AM: Demonstration round followed by Q & A
10:15–11:00 AM: Debater workshops (Debate 101, Resolutions Interrupting with Impact, Judges workshop for varsity debaters)
11:00 AM–12:30 PM: Practice Round 1
12:30–1:00 PM: Lunch and discussion
1:00–1:45 PM: Debater workshops (Flowing, Rebuttals, Adaptation)
1:45–3:15 PM: Practice Round 2
3:15–3:30 PM: Questions, results and closing remarks
